Little problem my rebuilt 1970 coronet 3 speed wiper motor. Where the wiper arms slid on, I taped blue tape (made like a flag) When I run the motor the swipe goes towards the hood.
I went under the dash and removed the clip and the transmission arm and the plastic piece.
Ran the wiper motor again. Let it parked. Reconnected the arm plastic piece and clip again.
Same results
Any guidance from the forum? thanks in advance

Take the arm off of the motor, rotate 180 and reinstall. I'm just thinking this out in my head but if the arm is facing down looking at it from within the car and rotates clockwise then it will begin by pushing which moves the wipers down, turn it 180 degrees (facing up) and it will begin pulling instead. Whatever the case a 180 should cause the opposite initial movement.

I could be wrong here, so please bear with me, but is this from your car originally? I’m currently trying to get a three speed wiper motor to convert from two speed, and I understand that different models have different park positions. Also, is your linkage from a three speed? I know that the arm is different between two and three speed wipers.

Read the two above posts. Tell us more about this car & wiper motor. Is this the original wiper motor/linkage/etc in this car?

Here's why I say this. I've got a '70 Roadrunner original 3spd wiper car & years ago my wiper motor burned out. I found another 3spd wiper motor from a c-body something that "looked the same". fyi-where the wiper motor bolts up to the very first piece of linkage arm (maybe 4" or so long), that linkage has a square hole in it with one side rounded off. The motor's stud is square & has one rounded off side. This make sure the linkage can only bolt onto the motor in one position only. Anyway..... the c-body motor I got had the rounded off attachment point 180-degrees off from the b-body one I took off. If you mix/matched a c-body 3spd motor with a b-body 3spd linkage arm you would get just what you're describing as a result. For me, I just took a rat-tail file & rounded out a second side of my linkage (opposite the original rounded off side) and my c-body wiper motor works perfectly. I just have to be careful if I ever pull off the motor again WHICH rounded side to use, since I now have 2.

yes the 1970 super bee is original. Has a rebuilt 3 speed motor. The dash switch has been rebuilt also .
Update
I pulled the transmission arm from the motor.
I grabbed the short arm and tried to turn by hand. I could not move it at all.

Should I file and around out the other side of the arm.
( I would mark the original rounded out side incase I had to go back to the way it is now)

please advise

Makes me think that somewhere in the rebuilding process it got messed up if it's all original but nonetheless yes moving 180 should at least get it going the right direction.

Here is the the linkage from my 70 Coronet with 3 speed wipers. Hopefully it will help you figure out the orientation of the linkage.

Well.....if you have all original parts on the car, then I'm confused. When you say it has a "rebuilt 3 speed motor" do you mean it's the original wiper motor that has been rebuilt OR that you bought a rebuilt motor from another car (like, maybe a c-body which looks nearly identical)???

1. If you bought the wiper motor somewhere, then see my previous post & sure thing, just round off the opposite side of the linkage arm & go for it. It worked for me. The motors bolt on only 1-way and it's just the "park position" that's 180-degrees out between b-bodies & c-bodies (c-bodies with 3-speed wipers are very common, not so much with b-bodies)

2. If this rebuilt wiper motor is FOR SURE 100% the original motor that your car was born with in 1970, then it does sort of sound like you have something in the linkage itself installed backwards & some other members here have posted some VERY helpful pictures.
