No link and unconfirmed, but if you use these services have an alternate available just in case.
I rely on Uber often. Most drivers good, never a problem. BUT, if you don’t like the pay - quit! Not forced to drive for them.

Never have used ether ! I've had more close in counters/ near Miss accident s from lift cars ! Those fools can't drive.

I believe the strike is centered in NYC. It’s not a national thing.

I take that back - just saw on the news it will be a national thing for a few hours on Weds I believe.

If They are striking for better pay & benefits, I wish them the best. Working endless hours, and using up your own equipment, for sub-standard pay, is no way to get to the finish line...

I’ve quit jobs I didn’t like or for low pay. Nobody is tethered. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Work where YOU WANT to work. WTH.

Nobody is forcing them to drive for Uber/Lyft. If they don't like the pay and lack of benefits...GET A REAL JOB!!!

As I’ve heard it Uber I think is not just the low pay but they actually reduced their pay by like 20-25% and are sticking them with an unrealistic bonus program to allow them to get back up the pay grid via that method. A tactic used by other industries with a lot of sales people. I believe that’s what’s caused the hoopla. If they hadn’t done that I don’t think there would be a strike. Not sure I’m exactly on point with this but I’m pretty close. Frankly if I’m correct - I agree with the drivers in this case.

I see about 6 Uber cars in my South San Jose neighborhood. Map doesn’t include Lyft.

There’s both Uber and Lyft drivers in the area today. Not a lot. But I may only need one.....

Shocked they even allow them in NY city .. I have a lot of friends if I need a ride, usually it would include breakfast or lunch, nothing is free .......Hey, are they really my friends?? :(

The whole idea of strangers picking me up is bothersome, nope won't ever use it but of coarse where I live there will never be a need to anyways.
