All the suspension bushings on the 73 are being replaced with Polyurethane bushings. I would like to retain the ride quality the 73 and later B's are known for with the rubber body isolators. I just cant find them in rubber.

Are you looking for originals? I have a box of them from parting out two '73 B Body cars recently. I can provide pics if you're interested.

Ask and you shall receive!

I was looking for new replacement rubber bushings. I bought a set 12 years ago from PST or maybe it was Firm Feel for a different 73, but they no longer list them on the website. I cant imagine what a 46 year old rubber bushing would be like? Mine are squashed, split and coming apart, their 46 years old.

Run the part numbers thru "PartsVoice"
You may get lucky.

.....fmmopar sells them on ebay ( repro ), bushings included ( and T bar crossmember isolators too).....not cheap as you may expect for our cars

Nice find Nacho! Now I can tell folks at the swap meets that they're being reproduced like the originals but it's going to cost you $300.00 and they don't sell them individually (set only). Maybe they'll buy my original bushings at $3.00 each if they don't need a whole set lol.

But none-the-less this eBay set would be the way to go if you're serious about restoring your 73/74 B Body.

1s... they have being available since a year now or so. Dunno if you remember the thread 69bfan began about coolant reservoirs at dc.com and he showed up the pics of these bushings of the testing products.

2nd... about overprice... thats why I have this:

and one of the claims on the overpices is getting ALLWAYS full sets of everything when maybe needing just one. Just latelly some vendors offers one side option for parking lights for example, whereas all other brands vendors ( GM and Ford ) have allways offered one side or the pair... ASIDE CHEAPER OF COURSE.

Wow! Really not cheap. I must rethink the use of Poly.

If you think I want those, allong with a tuff stuff alt, RCD shocks, Bumper fillers, grilles and maybe something else around I can be forgetting, that sets me off on a $1.5K rate... and my car suposselly is complete!... this never stops

Poly is a good compromise, and at least the rubber is available (although not inexpensive).

I used Nos ones on my 74 RR and they were like new even after being decades old. The wear comes from heat cycles, being used, salt, oil and rust on the metal inserts. I have a spare Nos set and they are nice new rubber also.... I would not be afraid of using Nos ones if they have been properly stored..

I used the poly set from rock auto. The ride does not change you will be happy with them.
