Thanks guys for all of the efforts in bringing this to actually happening. Through you guys efforts, the number should be getting very close to the required number and the final push can take place.

The event is always a very good show, but this year will be really huge. I know from responses that we are getting, it will be the biggest yet.
I wonder if the event would be oversold in parking spaces on the show field in your class? It would not be nice if you get there and no place to park in your class or close by, so you drive up on the hill and park your B-Body among other class's. Kind of like out in left field.

The Carlisle staff does a good job of planning and knowing the number of preregistered entrants per class, so I would think that through previous year's of experience, they have a good ideal of drive up entrants for any one class. I am certain that a fluke could happen and a particular designated area could fill up beyond expectations.

I think that is one reason that they will tell you that your tent may not necessary be located in one particular area. Fortunately it is not like the Nats where anything can show up and park in the designated areas for entrants.

Just got two more..........they will sine up this evening, if not all ready.
Working on one more.
Just got one more (65 Coronet)...........We should be really close for the 25.

I’m heading to the show but not in my 64 Plymouth (too far a drive for me in that car). I’d chip in to support the club even without having my car there, or do you need the actual car numbers not just the payment?

25 cars registered, Chipping in with money food or drink is always a plus.

Steve009, if you are driving into the show, with any vehicle, you can list FBBO as your Club Affiliation. Doesn't need to be a B-Body. I register my P/Up in the correct class, which allows Event entry for 2 people, bring in a cooler, and a place to drop all the parts you pick up, for the entire event. Worst part is walking up and down the hill to get back & forth...

That is the best part about having my car there haha! Somewhere to land for water, crash pad, and store parts. Luckily for me, the 68 B body class is always in the Red showfield which lands dead smack center in the field by the grandstand and survivor tent. Great centralized area to walk to when needing various things.

Carlisle is promoting a special gate and go package of $58.50 for the weekend pass for two people and the vehicle. If you figure that your attending the event and park outside the gate, you will spend $50.00 for the weekend pass for two people. Factor in parking for a minimum of two days will cost you $5.00 to $10.00 per day, so your at a minimum of $60.00 to walk into the grounds as a spectator parking outside of the grounds for Friday and Saturday. That does not even include Sunday if you decide to come back for that morning.

That is the reason that you so many people are now registering for the swap meet spaces. For $90.00, your able to come and go throughout the week and depending upon where your spaces are, you are right there if that means going back to the space to fix a sandwich, get something to drink, drop off parts, charge the phone etc.

For the people who are attending looking for parts, consider purchasing an early bird ticket for Thursday. We are seeing more and more people coming in on Thursday and getting what they need so that they are not dealing with the crowd on Friday. There is also the serious hunters of that NOS or nice used part that come in and are able to check things out before the actual Friday spectators come in.

Unlike some other events, the Carlisle staff does an excellent job of getting people in and out of the property. By preregistering, your able to get the necessary tickets and window sticker prior to the event so that your able to drive up to the gate and they motion you through with no hassles. Other venues should sit back and just observe the process to improve their events.

Look forward to seeing everyone, we are only some 70 days out before we will be heading to the show!!!

No worry to go up and down the hill, classes there are vans, Crossfires, jeeps, AMC and Vipers.
No parts vendors allowed.
So we should be good.

Steve, I sent him a message last week, but have not heard back from him. I'm pretty sure we are very close to, if not over the 25 now, providing the Poll count was honest. I'll start seeing some other folks that attend the Show, now that Cruise Nite season is kicking off up this way, and try to solicit some extras here...

I'll do the same at local shows. If they ever happen. It has rained here for the last 10 Fridays in a row and this Friday they are calling for up to an inch more.
I have Ed's card here if he doesn't get back to you soon.
I'll send you his #.

Hello All,

Relatively new member to the site here so forgive some of my inquiries. I just registered for the Carlisle show under the FBBO club affiliation. I registered in the Plymouth 71-74 Modified Class. Based on what I've read so far I'm assuming the FBBO Tent won't be too far from the B-Body showfield(s)? Also, my car is farrrr from perfect and I'm not entering in the hopes of winning anything, just figured I'd rather park close to other cars and folks like myself. I hope I'm not setting myself up to look foolish by not entering a "Concours" level Car....please feel free to give me your honest opinions as I definitely don't want to be taking a space from a more deserving entrant. My ride isn't super modified but it has more than the 4 mods they mention on the Carlisle website for entries. Either way, it's been exactly 25 years since my last trip to Chryslers at Carlisle and I'm pretty excited to see all the cool cars and people. Thanks in advance for any and all input

You will see many cars that are not as nice as yours! I don't care about winning anything and go just to be there!!Go and have a blast.Bring chairs and a small tent or big umbrellas as the sun can be HOT:nutkick:
Cooler for you cold,,,,,beverage and your favorite walking shoes.

First, glad to have you at FBBO and questions are great - happy to answer them!
  1. Thanks for registering at Carlisle under FBBO!!!
  2. Bring your walking shoes, as you will do plenty of walking but there is always cool stuff to see. I don't know the exact distance from the showfields to the tent, but you'll be smiling the whole way anyway.
  3. As Hemi-itis stated, you will see cars of every condition there. Bring your car proudly and have fun. That's what it is all about, and you won't look foolish.
Cheers,

Hawk

72 Sat, Thanks for listing FBBO as your Club Affiliation. Carlisle is The Biggest & Best MOPAR Show in the World. You can walk the Show to Find Parts, Specialized Venders, Stock, Custom, Survivor, Driver, and Owner's Pride & Joy Mopars ! It Doesn't Get Any Better Than That ! Bring Your Car, and I'm sure there will be Folks remembering when They had one like it, and wishing They still did. What I enjoy most is seeing it All, in 1 Place, Seeing Friends, and making New Ones. Please stop by the Tent, and use it for All of the above, and Enjoy the Show...

K/k, I see you've got a pic of my Van in that shot, next to the Yellow-white tent ! I loved that parking spot, as it was right in the midst of the Show Field, Venders, and Grandstands. Easy walk to the Swap Meet & Car Corral too...

You have good eyes! (Stole the pic off their website).

You'll take notice to an award given to the car club with the best decorated tent also. The award is a Banner.

"Attention Car Clubs- Coolest Club Hangout Award

Is Your Club Tent the Place to Be?
The Coolest Club award is based on the premise of the club tent being “THE PLACE” to be. Plan your theme and your decorations well for this year because there are multiple clubs vying for the honor.

If your club epitomizes the type of place where show goers and Carlisle staff alike want to hang out, then you stand a great chance of winning. We want to see lots of Mopar, Dodge, Plymouth, DeSoto, AMC and Jeep banners as well as other automotive-themed decorations. Be creative and have fun!"

Also they have an "App" for your phone to help find your way around and other info.
