Twice or three times this week I've had posts deleted in this General forum.....Based on "Inappropriate content" by an UNnamed Moderator.
I don't wig out over a deleted post but when a notification about it is accompanied by a "Last warning" in the message, it sure would help if there were some definitions about what the limits are.
I have accidently posted a lingerie clad woman in the random picture thread, sure. Mistakes happen. Kiwi caught them and politely notified me. The man has class.
I recently posted a woman in a BATHING SUIT, a frontal shot where nothing offensive was visible.
THAT got dumped. Why? It is a legal form of clothing, not a thong, not topless, it might as well have been underwear in a Sears catalog.
Words that would be banned on any TV show or radio station get written here and not edited but I get mine dumped in the thread when I made a humorous reference to a PO ?
If you want to be critical of someones posts and delete them, maybe make a clear outline of what is acceptable and make it consistent.
Great site here, it is my favorite by far. I am not trying to test any boundaries, I'm just being who I have always been.
It is hard to understand where the line is here lately. What has changed??

Once we have the same "issue " with a tread about a 66 or 67 charger found in Baja a few months ago by Dibbons , in no time Paul, Justin and me start to make jokes and post pics of hot Mexican babes, as you know Paul really like Latin babes, no nudity no bad taste in those pics, only chicks in bathing suits, no more than that, kiwi join the conversation and suddenly he move the tread to the blue forum , I ask him why, no nudity in the pics, his answer was simple and concrete, although the vast majority of members here are middle age man, there are also kids that came to the site and surf the site, and the image of FBBO must be kept as a car site also of the members , I respect Roger's answer and I respect him for give me an explanation, also i love this place and in fact besides what's app this is the only social network for me.

That was me again Greg. I'm sorry, but posting the comment "penis odor" in a General Forum thread was irrelevant and a step too far across the line. General consensus among Mods here is that there is a line....although it may seem fuzzy to some....but there is a line.

You had been warned previously about that, and without making this a personal stab at you in public, I have asked on occasions for you to back it off a bit. Much the same was sent to another member here, and he has complied.

This is a family show, and yes a few F Bombs get through...but a lot are picked up eventually.

BTW, I corrected the spelling above of 'accidentally' for you. :welcome:

It doesn't bother me if posts get deleted........I have had a fair amount removed.....

When it comes to scantily clad ladies, language etc in the general section.....One point to make here is that some people may be viewing the forum at work or at home with coworkers or kids around. So they were probably deleted or moved because of that being inappropriate for the general section.....

Ya just got to think about the forums you post in and think about the content (wording etc) that you decide to use for that particular forum.....

Another way of looking at the arguement....before posting something, imagine if your Grandmother was watching what you post - would she be happy about the content?

Have no idea what my grand ma would think about what I say and do!!

Kiwi don't take the "job too seriously" we don't want to pull rank on you! Being a moderator is just that and no more so remember we are all men here and no grand ma's so let it slide and ask us if you should delete anything before you do it.

Grandma is dead. Thanks for opening old wounds.
And YOU spelled argument wrong !

In the Random picture thread, there are pictures of all sorts of things. I'm sure that we all agree that a woman in a bathing suit is something that can be seen anywhere except for a Mosque. It wasn't as if I posted nudes, right?
My humor is often on the edge, I know that. I talk the same way that I write. I am not a hypocrite. Maybe stuff gets tolerated until it appears that the "offensive" matter outnumbers the non offensive ??
I wasn't making any specific effort to trigger any trouble. What is funny to me can be "over the line" to others. I've dealt with this all my life. Imagine having THIS brain driving your decisions 24 hours a day...
