So if you haven’t noticed I am all over the place on the Satellite. Body, engine, transmission, electrical more. Its a little daunting as its not easy to make a lot of forward progress due to funding health and the like. But I was able to get the front end completed and I think it looks good. The Sublime paint is growing lol......I still need to get the front end rebuilt and steering box tightened up or replaced. Then I need to get some sort of gears with Sure Grip set up depending on the type of rear end I actually have.
Thanks for looking!

Looks good. Just don’t paint the interior with any green. In my opinion, that color can be done write on a b body. But, people find a way to over do it. What size engine and tranny did it originally have ? You can find the gear ratio tag on the differential casing. It’s on the driver side attached by a bolt.

I found that tag. Its a 271 highway gear. What I will need to find out is what housing I actually have. What are you talking about regarding the interior color?

Im just giving my opinion on not over doing the green. People paint the bumpers green and interior green. All black interior for example. Yeah, I’m in same boat as you. I don’t know how to identify my axle either. All I know is it’s original and has 294 gears. Like you, I’d like to step up the torque just a little on the rear end. I have a 904 torqueflite automatic with a LA 360 engine. Like you, id like to lower the gear ratio a tad on the rear end. But, don’t know what gear boxes will adapt to my housing. I just want to change the gear box. Not the complete axle. So, it’s probably going to stay that way, lol !

Awesome job ! Looks great. I always thought that new model challenger halo head lights on that year would rock.

Take some pics of the rear housing, from the back..if it's the type with no cover bolted on the back it's an 8-3/4 and there will be a casting # on the lower left side of the 3rd member(underneath the yoke) ending with 741, 489, 742 etc..throw up a couple pics we can ID that bad boy for ya. Lawdy lawd I loves me some 70 Plymouth...nice car my friend.

I did and there is a lot of speculation as to what it is because I have yet to get pics of it on the lift. Its either a 7-1/4 or an 8-1/4. If its an 8-1/4 I am told I can get a Sure Grip or something like that in there. See the thread I started
What rear end is this?
