Hi I am one bullet type connector short in hooking my Sun Super TachII. I don’t know the name of this contact so finding one is that much harder. Its meant to compress over a single male pin roughly 1/10” or 2.5mm. On the other side is a wire crimp/solder connection.

The spring action is in the female side unlike a banana connector. This is an important attribute.

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated!

I wound up with a couple of those tachs simply because the new, nice, never used one I got didn't have any of the mounting hardware (that nut on the back is critical!) or wiring.

Molex. Same used on your ign switch plug

Forgot to say it's also used on electronics, such as PC ATX power supplies, so you could able to find those terminals on Radio Shack and similar. Doesn't need to be automotive supplies.

I did in fact find the terminals AND plug itself for my tail light harness on Radio Shack because 71/74 tail light plugs is exactly the same plug used on those ATX power supplies, thats how I know it. When Radio Shack was in Venezuela.

Might have better luck finding an old computer out by the curb than finding a radio shack that still sells electronics parts!

Yeah Radio Shack is history....

The Molex pins on the ignition are too big. These are very thin like 2mm.

Well of course there are several sizes for these.

Didn't know about Radio Shack wasn't anymore what used to be. Anyway, those terminals are around.

RS is pretty much nothing more than a phone store now with some RC toys.

The one near me still has ONE 24" rack of electronics parts but all the common ones are empty and have been for years.

Try an electronics store like So-Cal's ORVAC or https://www.elliottelectronicsupply.com/ located in Tucson. You are better off walking in and selecting a match to yours but if you can get a length and diameter of that female terminal, that's really all you need. I know there are a few different sizes in this style of connector such as the 20-14 AWG depending on current load but the differences from size to size are obvious. Here is a picture of a pack of the male side of the terminal you are holding.

You might as well get some tools so you can make the work much easier. You'll need a.....terminal extractor? This hollow tool slides over the connector to the base and pushes the locking tang inward so the terminal will pass out the back side of the plastic terminal block.

You will want a good set of wire crimpers. These can be had from any electronic store. Pico is a decent brand but there are others.

Also once you have everything ready to begin, don't forget the beer(s). I recommend a minimum of 2 regardless how small the job appears.

Thanks fovirgil I got her done!
