Can someone please measure for me their battery hold down (bracket to bracket). I am in need of one that's 7-7 5/8.
If someone has an extra and willing to part with?
Thanks in advance!
Ivan

What exactly do you need measured? Mine is a 1-piece bracket, reproduction, that goes over the top of the battery & is the exact width of the battery. The "j-bolts" I have are parts store pieces.

the distance of the cross bar, bracket to bracket

I'm still confused. My brackets are connected together....1-piece....with a thin metal rod connecting the two "L-bracket" angled pieces on either side of the battery. It is a 1-piece bracket the same width as the battery.

Sorry for your confusion...I am looking for a battery hold down that is 7" or slightly longer from "L" to "L" of the brackets.

There is only one size factory bracket that I know of. Any aftermarket battery that is not a group 24 or 27 will require customizing a bracket of some kind or a generic parts store replacement one. Also if you have a battery topper, the reproduction hold downs will not fit, at least mine didn't.

Any of this what you’re looking for?

The 70 battery tray and hold down are completely different from the earlier years.
