Just curious what some of the guys are running on their big block 440's I've purchased a few back in the day for upwards of $280.00. And see some for much cheaper that look just like the ones I have on my cars. Any thoughts or advice?

I've been using 2 out of junkers for the last 15+ years each with no problems. It's a sore dick syndrome when you can get them for $20 each, ya can't beat it!

I bought mine on ebay from DB electrical. It was brand new and only $62. Ive bought a few things from them and have had great luck. Always been bolt on and forget about it! I have always ran new wiring to the starter to. Makes life a lot easier and then its all new and no issues!

I’m also running the DB starter on my 360, I’m really happy with it. Cranks really fast, and it already has the terminals moved for block clearance.

All i can do is tell my experience. I bought a genuine P5249644 mopar performance starter to save weight/more power, its still sitting on a shelf. I didnt like where the terminals ended up, with or without the terminal spacer, but the big problem was that it simply would not fit with the ancient hooker adjustable headers i was using. The big heavy stock gear reduction starter fits, and i can get it in or out without moving the headers. I guess there were no mini starters when my hookers were built. There is a header tube exactly where the mini wants to be.
