They Shall Not Grow Old

I saw it. It was very well done. I agree, must have been hell.

This is a great series about The Great War.
YouTube channel.
For further straight information
Short quick detailed segments.

I saw it in the theater, very well put together. I would recommend it to anyone.

I took my son and watched it. Very well put together film

It's really good, I rented it over the weekend. If you haven't already watch Dunkirk, it'll give you a panic attack waiting to get off the beach while being shelled & strafed.

Another great movie is Das Boot, the directors cut.
No but I want to. I just ordered the dvd

I've seen Dunkirk, that was good

I will make a point to see/watch it, 'They shall not grow old'
when it comes to cable

cool looking restored & colorized film of real soldiers

WWI trench warfare & mustard gas, submachine guns,
mowing soldiers down, snipers, flame throwers, chemical warfare, etc.
a lot of hand to hand combat, living or sleeping in the mud, blood etc.
must have been pure hell
US bailing out Europe, England & France,
way too many US lives lost, yet once again

Trench warfare is probably the most brutal form of warfare, but urban type warfare is up there too. Too many variables with kill angles thrown in for good measure

I can't remember but I think we rented it on Netflix.

I bought it quite awhile ago! Awesome! Can’t even begin to imagine how it really was! Tunneling under the enemy lines to set explosives.. crazy!!

I'm a big history nut, war in particular. I bought a copy from ebay. $12 new

Me to. My Dad was in the Army in the mid 60's. I grew up wearing his old uniforms and playing Army in the woods. He bought me tons of 2nd hand books to read growing up. I'm a big CW nut and was a Confederate Re-enactor for 12 years before kids. How I wore wool in the summer I'll never know but man I couldn't do that again. I did get a slight taste though of what they went through.

Wow. Saw it. Amazing scenes. No words for this.

Seen it, it should be shown in all public & private schools so that they can see the sacrifices not just during
WW l but all wars.made by so many and realize how lucky they are.

Saw it. Sad way to fight a war, as if there is a good way. Living in the trenches worse that the fighting. I'm also sure there was no support after what they went through. RIP
