interesting ebay 1969 Satellite vert 225 3 on the tree

I have never been able to figure out peoples facination with slant 6 cars. Yes they were great reliable transportation back in the day, but they are boring under performing slugs to actually drive. They are rare, yes, but desirable not so much. This car would make for a good big block powered 4 speed Road Runner clone, or modern powered resto mod. Keep in mind that slant 6 cars have no sway bars, small brakes and weak rear axles. I can't see the thrill of driving a car that a twenty year old Toyota Corolla can out perform in every category. I had a 71 Barracuda convertible that was one of 163 built with the slant 6 engine, and after two weeks of driving it with the top down, the slanty had to go,and the driveline was swapped out for a rebuilt 383 Magnum, automatic transmission, and 8 3/4 sure grip from a 71 Challenger R /T.

To each there own I guess, not trying to put down what people are into, just stating my personal experience with them.

Some of us like the oddball historical aspect.

My 73 was born without carpet, drip rail trim, or a day/night mirror...

...but with air conditioning.

I have only ever seen one equipped the same way.

I have since installed carpet, but I LOVE to point out the oddball factory build items.

My 74 RR came from the factory in white paint with red stripes and a blue interior. Love how weird it is.

My 67 Belvedere wagon is white with blue interior and with a red stripe in the aluminum side molding.

I REALLY like a R/W/B Mopar!

I’ve got one and yep, the slant is coming out in favour of a big block. They just plain don’t look right in the engine compartment and I can imagine just how impressed I’d be with 165 horsepower it would have, I’m guessing 20 more than stock As it has an aluminum super six intake, hooker super comp headers and a performance Holley 2 barrel, all of which I’ll be selling!

Any of you slant 6 lovers want these performance parts?

Okay, so if your into 6 cylinder cars that cool and I can respect that, just not for me that’s all.

I love V8's and never really owned a 6 myself, but, make no mistake, 6 in a row, can go!!

yeah, agree.

I dont mind slant 6 cars. There cheap to aquire. And converting those to 8 cyl does not hurt anything.

MarPar that's one Bad *** sounding slant six! Never would have guessed it was a 6 from the sound of it!

That guy really made a mess out of that car with the ugly-*** Petty blue paint & the gangster whitewalls sure don't help. If it were a rust-free car, it would make a nice driver with a more powerful V8....even a 318.

Looks like it's a B5 car.

I'd have gone back with that.

Looks pretty straight.

Wheel lip trim does not look factory.

At least they painted the engine bay!

RC,I thought those wide white walls were what you put on your cars, when I bought those Magnum 500 wheels from you! You can roll reel deep with those on some phat twenty inch spinners! Now that's gettin yur bling on!

"Though you may not drive a great big Cadillac Gangsta whitewalls TV antennas in the back
You may not have a car at all But remember brothers and sisters
You can still stand tall
Just be thankful for what you've got
Though you may not drive a great big Cadillac
Diamond in the back, sunroof top, diggin' the scene with a gangsta lean
Whoo hoo "
