As to your edited post, yes, I have been to 87th and Stony Ave. And no, I havent seen any riffles down there. One would be foolish to go down there at night.
 
As an old country boy I have always wondered why in the inner cities where decent people are trying to live, work and raise kids that simply any person that has training could have a spider hole or a hide or several for that matter. A small caliber rifle w/silencer. When the bad guys congregate at night just crack the one known to be the boss and whenever necessary crack another one. The Police probably wouldn't investigate very hard. I'm very thankful to live in the Midwest and feel very strongly about the people who are afraid for their childrens lives as well as their own. These criminal types of all nationalaties don't deserve a space in this country and people should take a hard stand.
 
The inner cities can be bad, but aren't as bad as they are perceived to be - and some are much better than what they used to be. The country also has its people. The ones I see that are new to this country work very hard and raise their kids right and teach them the same values my immigrant great grandparents passed down to their kids.

Not really. Most of Chicago is liberal. Most of Chicagoans own guns. 1+1=2 It's the whining mothers and teachers that are against guns just because a few kids get shot every day in the cross-fire.

Oh no, I know that. What I was referring to was that 87th and Stony Island was a good neighborhood and 35th St is not.
