Location
York Pa.
After rebuild can't get the drain plugs sealed.
They have copper O rings.
No new ones were in the kit.
Picture is of an old carb to show location and one of the plugs. And the rebuilt one on the engine.
In and out several times now.
Tried sewing thread and thread cleaner and tightened them as tight as they would go.
These are directly below the float bowl so it empties the bowl over nite, so it will not start without priming.
Any suggestions?
It's on my 65 Coronet, 273 V8.

Do you have any problems with hard warm starts / flooding after shutting off and sitting for 15 minutes or so?

This is the first time I have had it out since June of 2014.
Ireally don't remember any issues other than a flat spot upon hard exceleration.
I'll know better at the end of this month when I'll be taking it to a show then.
I'll let you know.
I plan on driving it some once I get the leaks fixed in the carb.

Okay!
Leak is fixed........no issues with warm starts.....However absolutely will NOT start cold unless I spray starting fluid into the air filter . What a PITA. After warming up it starts up instantly. Choke is working but just shy 1/8: of fully closing.
Any ideas?

Does it try to start and then die, or wont even fire once?
