I purchased a new glove compartment lock a few months ago from Mega Parts. Unfortunately, the lock button started sticking in the "in" position occasionally, which became annoying. After trying graphite, silicone spray & silicone grease with no results, I contacted Jamie at Mega Parts. He immediately shipped me a replacement lock at no cost. Well, the replacement does the same thing. I've asked him to contact his vendor to see if the problem can be resolved. I will wait to hear and have no doubt that Jamie will take care of me. Great customer service.
 
Gun oil...

..and Jamie is great to deal with !! Even through their flood they shipped parts..

He has some NOS ones for an early '60s application. Any possibility you can make that work??
 
I had them convert a K-member for a Hemi…...and the fit and finish is perfect.
 
Great people to deal with, usually purchase from them at Carlisle, very organized, helpful and great customer service.
 
I agree....Jamie and Roy are the best. Just wondering if maybe you have an adjustment issue since both are sticking. I had a console button that did that occasionally and I adjusted the catch a bit and that fixed it.

Thanks for your input. If you take the lock off the glove box door and push the button repeatedly, it will still stick sooner or later. If you lock it and then unlock it, it will usually stick on the first push, whether on the door or off. If it sticks 'in', pushing it again, once or twice, will make it pop back out. If the button is 'out', you can push the locking 'tongue' in and out a zillion times and it won't stick down.
Jamie has offered to refund me for both locks. He said he has sold hundreds of these with no complaints but will bring it up with his vendor. I sent the first lock back to him so he can bench test it himself. Just one of those annoying little problems...
 
Like I'll say again.. Gun oil... I've spent 20 years fighting with trailblazer tail gate latches and such. The ONLY cure.. is Gun Oil !

Okay, okay, I hear ya! I'm on my way out to the garage now with my bottle of Hoppes gun oil. Stay tuned...lol
