Bucket Seat Question

The back part of the bucket seat screws keep getting loose. They won't stay tight. When ever I go thru the gears, they fall out. How can I fix them?

1. Partially weld the holes smaller
2. Loc-Tite
3. Put a match stick in the holes, then the screw
4. Small dab of epoxy in the hole or maybe rubber cement

Maybe get the right size Unuts that slip over the metal frame.

Something like this gets to thinking checking the size and/or length of the screws. Screws should tighten up snugly (no strip out) without overtightening them to gouge into the panel. Looking at your photo are the heads tapered or flat? For the application, my guess would be they should be a tapered head that should seat rather flush with the panel. If the holes have become oversize a bit larger diameter screw may do the job or look at the tricks posted...could be those screws are not correct for the panel.

Looking at my seat the screws are tapered and those look close to what they should be. But I think the unut might be easiest way out. Go to Home depot, Lowes or Ace Hardware. Even Harbor freight has a box of assorted size unuts, which comes in handy.
