Hi everyone,
I have a BPE setup on my 440 and its not been shifting right after I installed it.. Well turns out the trans end had popped off the ball pivot on the lever. I have gone back and put it back on and made sure to hear the click when it seats, but soon as you connect it back to to the throttle assembly and hit the gas a few times it just pops off the pivot ball really without any effort, even pushing the throttle forward with slight hand pressure. I know this because i had someone do that while I was under the car looking at the lever and cable, after 2 times i saw it draw the lever back, then in the middle of the third it just popped off. Its the part on Figure 7A if you look at the https://bouchillonperformance.com/resources-kickdown-cable-instructions site.
I used the trans lever that came with the kit.. Is this a defect or am i not doing something right? I've really had nothing but issues with 3 different types of kickdowns on this car and it's starting to wear my patience thin haha.
