Been out of the B-Body scene for a few years. Wound up selling some things and have $15k to play with.

What kind of driver can you get for that? Only interested in 68-70, preferably 68. V8, preferably big block. Tranny doesnt matter. Not looking for an R/T or rare vehicle. Dont care much about interior condition. Some bodywork needed is ok. Just dont want to deal with rotten floors or frame rails. I'm not a car show kind of guy. I want something I can just have fun driving, and maybe fix along the way. Is that kind of stuff still out there?

Well you are limiting yourself if that is the specific years you are interested in. Maybe be a little more open then as to what you are after and then more will be available. That being said of course, if you were to be more flexible, then I have a great 66 Plymouth Satellite BB/727 that I have restored and brought back to life, available for sale. And it is a Western car. Just suggesting is all...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:

Thanks, but I'm 66 and this will probably be my last toy, and I just like those years the best. My favorites are 68 Road Runners, Chargers, and Coronets.

its out there but you will have to deal probably with some kind of floor or trunk patch. 2 years ago a 69 satellite was in NC for $12000 and it was a 318 car but solid.

Unfortunately, you've picked the most popular (and therefore pricy) of the b-body years...
I wish you luck, though!

Have you looked at the "Under $10,000" thread?

No, I didnt even know there was one - lol

Easy to miss because It’s a very small thread! Not many cars in there. LOL

I bought mine for $400 of course the seller doesn't know anything about this car's, my coronet ( build in Mexico ) came with a Dana rear axle, R/T tail lights and trims and also the rally dash, plus a modified version if the 318 rust only on the trunk floor and the front of the floor pan.

Billy wants to get rid of his '68 GTX. He's asking $9k and it's pretty sweet. Message me if you want to see it (pics are on my computer and I'm not lol).

68 chargers are gonna be out of your reach, financially.
even if you scored one for 15 needing work youd have to drop more into it and thats a long gig.
coronets are much cheaper and the roadrunners popup frequently.
i would like to suggest that you push your wife off the computer seat,
go to Marketplace on Facebook and check out the Mopar Swap Shop.
i have seen Numerous deals in the past few months that were great cars.
most of these deals dont last long either, cause lots of people looking.
if you see something you like, dont post about it,PM/message the seller right away
and dont use the autoselect -is this available either << send him a real pm.

its a group as well,so after awhile youll get to know folks, some really good folks.
Best of luck to you in finding what you want.

just to show you the difference between leannes car and whats out there.
this is 8k.

They're out there, just be patient and check classifieds/craigs list/ebay/this site, etc. constantly. I was able to score my 68 Coronet for 10k and it's a solid car with hardly any rust. Just needs little TLC here and there but it's a driver and that's what I was looking for. It's got a small block though, but thinking for the 5k more shouldn't be too difficult to locate a big block car. Good luck!

let's see that car @CudaChick1968

Here's a few pics of Billy's GTX. It is set up for a manual trans and will come with an early 70s 400 that is currently on a stand. It needs another trunk lid; the prior owner cut out the entire inner support structure in favor of a pin-on setup (what a dick!) that has already been addressed with new metal.
Please get in touch with Billy directly (a427zcar at aol.com) if you have questions or need details -- he builds cars and engines while I have a shop to run. :D

$15,000 asking price. Not a driver, but you could make it so...

Yeah, I guess you're right. I dont have the time, means, or ambition to travel four states away (or more) to pick up a car, and I'm not going to buy anything that I cant drive onto the trailer. I dont even care that much on big block vs small block if I would like the car, so keeping an eye on the locals is probably the best bet. That is unless someone in west/central PA or eastern OH has something they want to PM me about.
