Whats everyone working on?

I'm just about at a stopping point on the 50 Chevy 3100 as far as fabbing stuff up. We will be taking the sheetmetal off it soon to make up the exhaust system, run fuel hard lines, trans lines and some other stuff. After that the chassis will get taken apart to send out all the components for powder coating. After that, put it together, wire it, charge the ac, get it running etc. Tim, our paint and body guy, is getting the 39 Ford closer for paint. We will make a flatbed for it that will be a dining table as its going into a restaurant in SLO thats opening soon. The 39 will be yellow and the picture is an artist rendering.

The 50 Chev is fully disassembled, frame and suspension stuff sent out for powder coat. We've been busting booty on the 39 Ford to get it ready for the restaurant. Cab is painted, I'm building the bed/dining table, boss is making the seat.

Very nice.
Like to see your trucks if you have them out at HAN.

Dry fitting my tunnel ram and taking a peek at her cam & lifters while I have the opportunity. Only about 50 miles on this build but everything looks fine

TransGo shift kit TF-2 and new seals plus a deep pan
we painted the deep pan so the old one was put back on until the trans is back in the car

I wrapped up making the table/flat bed on the 39. It gets painted tomorrow. Monday/tuesday we start installing the maple wood and aluminum strips on the bed. After those are in, we'll pour on 4 gallons or so of clear resin for the top. That frame is already flipping heavy as it is, can't wait till it gets the maple. Good thing the neighbors have a forklift!

We followed up the Transmission work with a Differential diagnosis
Too much whining and carrying on
(I mean the rear end not my wife)

Had to order parts
shes getting new bearings, seals and a shim kit

The table frame is now yellow, started fitting up the wood today. Good thing I have a friend with woodworking tools. Some of the rabbit joints were not deep enough, boards not cut square and needed to remove 3/8" in width on the outside ones.

We delivered the truck yesterday. The people at the soon to open restaurant were ecstatic. This was a fun project.

We have the 39 in its final resting spot in the restaurant. They are slated to open the beginning of june. The chicks will dig the decor inside. We started putting the Chevy chassis together, I started filling up excess hole in the firewall so it can have fresh paint on it next to the freshly powder coated stuff. The owner of the truck was a little hesitant to do it but we convinced him to make it happen otherwise it would look like azz. Ideally the firewall needs to be replaced as there is considerably a huge amount of butchery going on but we are just doing quick cleanup. Whoever he scored his "freshly built, dyno'd LS3" bent him over. We were going to separate the engine and trans so we could pop the pan off for a windage tray plus dipstick and tube BUT it would not turnover. After lots of finger pointing which Ben bowed out of and pointed out our only involvement was transporting it and installing into the chassis, we got the ok to pop the heads. I heard Banjo's playing in the background. The truck owner is taking his engine supplier to court. Funny thing is is that he was only a couple hundred bucks less than buying a GM new unit.

Oh man, that engine looks BAD!!! looks like it has been sitting outside for a while!

And once the rh head was off, we found wire ties in the cylinder. Makes me wonder what the trans is like as it came from the same place. The F100 has a really? impressive tale on it. I'll get into that once we get rolling on it. Hint: there are many banjo's playing with the owner doing his Ned Beatty impersonation.
