Asking this question for a friend who has a '71 or '72 Satellite:

"My car came without any keys. Can you tell me what style keys it uses so I can buy the right blanks? And are the doors/ignition/glovebox all keyed the same? I know the trunk is different"

Ignition and doors same Pentastar key. Trunk the round one. How's he gonna get keys cut to match the tumbler, gonna need a locksmith.

The keys to my current project were lost somewhere along the line before I bought the car. I thought it would be a big deal, but my locksmith was able to easily cut me new keys. They showed me the quality difference between original and reproduced locks. I will always use originals if I can. Cant remember exactly, but I believe it was around $30. to get them made along with spares.

Yep, like I said.. just need a locksmith and he'll see how far each tumbler needs to be pushed in and match each key tooth to same in no time at all. Just hard to find one anymore, like most things in this throw away society.
