I am not sure what this is out of. It is 55-3/8" flange to flange with 44" c-c spring perches. I couldn't find any specs that tells me what it is for . I am guessing a 1/2 ton pick up.

I was thinking that also. That was the closest I could find , but all of the other housings I have are right on the dimension given in the charts. Thanks for the reply. I guess I will post it with the flange to flange dimension and let the buyer decide.

Nope, it is a truck housing. The truck housing has the leaf springs over the top (notice the perches) while the car housings mount the springs underneath. I have a housing from my 72 Dodge D100, and it looks just like that one.

True, but the one in the op's picture is looking at the passenger side axle tube , axle flange flat at the top, therefore the perch is on the bottom , passenger car.
Also, top two center studs on a 8 3/4 are closer together than the bottom two center studs, again passenger car housing.
Unless 1/2 ton trucks had the springs under the housing like passenger cars?

The 44" spring perch width and overall width make it a '64 B-body.
