Am I wrong?

No where was it said that a "classic or muscle car" was involved. The post says " I had tires put on a car"... He didn't say what it was. A lot of assumptions. I didn't say that was the policy for "classic car" I said the we did it on all cars. A lot of the so-called "tire fitters" were UTI and Wyo tech graduates. Even you guys started somewhere at the bottom. A little respect goes both ways. Believe me, their intention is to help not piss off customers. As I said, you can't please every body.
assumptions on both ends
you know what they say

The shop, I'd think, should inform of their intended services beyond what they (customer) might have ordered no? I get peeved when those oil change places want to convince you to have a coolant or transmission flush. Been there as I have taken my regular vehicles for service (I do work on my old ride yet). I don't do the simple service stuff on my other regular cars much as I used to...age and time. My daughters have called me over the years when they take their cars in for service telling me the quick lube shop says I need the trans or coolant flushed...I tell them ahhh no...don't do that. At least so far, I know their vehicles enough to know this isn't necessary; it's a ploy for the shop to make more cash. As for the shop opening the hood on your classic...could be they wanted to gawk at the motor.

Another sign that's a favorite: "Poor planning on your part does not make an emergency on my part".
I never posted it in my shop as I didn't want to antagonize my customers, but I did have it in my office...

Thanks for the comments. I guess I should have stated it was a daily driver but being 14 years old with only 20000 miles its a nice car. I didnt yell or curse at anyone but have had the oil change flunkies screw up reassembling the air cleaner assembly on my wife's car in the past. I just want done what I ask and not have anyone meddling with things. I guess the answer to am I wrong would be yes on warranty.

Hell, do like I do...look, but don't touch!
If they wanna see what's under the hood, okay.
