Can someone please post a pic of where the trunk light wiring plugs into behind the drivers side kick panel on a 1970 Charger. I'm trying to figure mine out. Thank you.

Thanks but I was wondering if someone can post a picture of theres that's behind the kick panel.

I have the trunk wire harness. I'm just trying to figure out how to connect it behind the kick panel.

Does yours look like the one pictured in the eBay auction? If so, it’s pretty clear it piggy backs off the dome lamp connection, pink and yellow wires. Disconnect the dome lamp wires from the dash harness, connect the supplemental trunk light power feed in between.

If it is hooked up to the dome, does that mean every time you open the trunk the dome light goes on?

No, it’s tapping into the power side of the dome lamp wires (pink). Trunk light uses it’s own pin switch on that car.

My runner should be the same. There is a single plug behind the back seat area just as it enters the trunk included in the rear light harness. Mine also has console lights

My harness only has 1 white set of plug where yours has 2 sets of white plugs. Mine does not have the black wire coming off of the plug. Does that mean mine did not come with the trunk light?

Id say you don't have a trunk light. Do you have any other lights that came in the light package? Ash tray, glove box, map, ignition with delay and hood mnt turn signals?

I have ash tray and map. I think I added the glove box but don't remember. I've owned the car for 33 years. I added the hood turn signals.

Looks like you don’t have the supplemental trunk light harness installed. Do you have one? Would be as pictured in the Ebay auction posted.

I have one but just bought that one as a spare but I'm missing the trunk light switch. The switch that I have is all messed up. The end where the wire connects to is broke.

the trunk light being optional for those years as far I recall it gets just a "bypass" plug and harness set ( male and female ) to be inserted in the middle of the dome light source around rear wheel well to splice the trunk light from there with the black wire. When trunk light was not optioned, you will get a single male female conection just for the dome light
