Proper way to install drip rail molding on my 1966 Satellite. I have looked on YouTube and most are full sized molding installations, not the separate three piece molding on B bodies.
The car has been repainted and the area for the molding was not masked off. So paint build up will be a problem first off. I understand the molding should be installed with the top first on the rail and then pulled down and hopefully snap into place. How do the pieces fit in place.
The front and rear moldings first and then the top molding over the rear connection and then the corner for the front? I'm using a nice pair of OEM molding.

Hook the top part first then pop them on. The lower portion clamps around the bottom of the drip rail. Start with the front A pillar one then top then rear. The 2 angled pieces will cover the gaps.

The proper order is the rear angled one first, then the one above the door, because it overlaps the rear piece. Then the front piece on the windshield pillar. The one small angled piece covers the ends of these front 2 pieces at the corner.

Put it on the top edge and roll it over with your hands. Some spray lube won’t hurt anything..
