The 101st Airborne Paratroopers in the photo look badass, especially the one with the war paint. Screaming Eagles Rendezvous with destiny. We owe these guys our eternal gratefulness, and respect for ridding the world of such evil. The Greatest Generation.

German grunt in picture 8. This where Anatoly Kalishnikov got the idea for the AK47. German Sturmghavere(spelling I'm sure is wrong)

Funny how things changed so much in 25 years. The Vietnam guys caught hell upon returning home..... :(

It was shameful. Soldiers do not shape foreign policy. These guys came home to a hostile, and uncaring country.

I think a lot of people cared but weren't quite willing to stand up to the ones that protested so hard....and didn't realize how hard they protested. It's a lot the same these days but the 'other' side is standing up to them more.

I think people today remember the sins of how people treated the Vietnam Vets.Nobody should ever be treated that way. No matter what feelings you have about any war America is involved in.

And it was like so many of us had a damn choice!! I was one of the lucky ones (?) imo that was able to avoid going into the Army and made it into the AF.....

My uncle served in the Marines in Vietnam.3rd Marine Division,9th Marines "the walking dead"

I finally got drafted in early 71 after thinking that I got missed. Everyone with a 'B' last name and had a higher lottery number was gone then one day after several months thinking I had been missed, it came. Had my 20th birthday in basic no less and was one of the 'older guys' lol I still count my blessings that I was able to avoid going into the Army....and of course I lied just like the recruiter did lol
