Source for distributor bushings for rebuild

Since it seemed to be fine the first day but would barely start the second day - my theory was if failed when it got a full 12 volt jolt on starting and before the key was released to send lesser voltage to the coil/distributor from the ballast resister. But I don't know for sure.

The just suck. 12 or lower voltage should not burn them out. They should have .25-.285 capacitance. Doubt you have a meter for that but can do a go/no go check with a ohm/volt meter. I have had them short out on the distributor tester in a half minute. Usually short out. That's when I got smart and just started using old manufactured ones. I am not sure if any are even made in the USA any more except maybe accell.
