getting ready to do 2019 power tour in my 66 charger. This is Monday and swapping 440in and pulling318 leaving thur 6am heading for north Carolina 10 hrs drive then rest of 7 day cruise anyone else running

Lucky man. Good luck ! Trying to get my kids and buddy to do the final leg to Norwalk. Hoping for good weather !

I have run portions of it several times. It's getting VERY crowded and some venues can have EXTREMELY long wait lines to get in. It's also getting more pricey by the year. Maybe that's their way of thinning out the crowd. It IS fun though. ENJOY!

Bring it West of the Mississippi and I’ll be there.

made thru power tour got 440 in and drove 18 mile from shop to home Wed nite at 11pm got up thur morning left for n Carolina from ohio at 7 am went 500 mi no trouble couple minor adjustments got home about 2200 mi

Wow, bet that was fun. I hope to do the tour some day. Not sure if I’ll do it an old car though.

I did much of the org. back in (?) 1995
LA to Chiaq (actually Norwalk Ohio) historic route 66

pretty small crowd back then, just followed along
I wasn't really formally invited, as such

made it to Oklahoma, from Concord Ca. to LA & points east
& had to come back for an emergency, at a dealership,
for my business (damn work)

my 68 RR, my Motorhome, Lisa, my dog (Black Lab) Duke
& my dad driving the motorhome/trailer,
so we had a place to eat & sleep, instead of motels etc.
(most hotels wouldn't let my dog stay, he went with me everywhere)
a little more that 4,000+ miles 13 days & I still spent $10k later
only made it about 1/2 way, it was pretty cool

I averaged about 10-12mpg in the RR,
I was shocked, it did well on the open road
(as long as you were gentle, it'd drop to 1/2 that is you drove it normal)
pretty good for 479cid 11:1, 9.90-10.0 @ 130+, 3.73:1 tf727
org. ported Stealth heads (prior to the Eddy RPM's) & N2O combo
& 11-12 or so mpg in the Cummins diesel pusher 36' Safari motorhome,
towing an enclosed trailer, support vehical

I'll do my own power-tour, I'd like to do route-66 again some day,
& do it the whole way...

all of them are way too far back east now, for my tastes
too many newer cars & not hot rod type cars, such is life

good luck have fun & take lots of photos
