My charger restoration dream car

I would just put a relay in that turns your existing fans on when you turn the AC on.

I’m getting my car ready to set my front and rear windows.
I took my old original rear window and scraped, cleaned, and buffed it out and it still had visible scratches, especially around the edges where sand got between the trim and window and sanded groves. I decided it was worth the money so I ordered a new one.

50 tear old glass brother, she ain't gonna get thru all those years without something to show for it. I think this is the right move on your part after all the effort you've put in to your baby. New glass will look great on your NEW 68 Charger

Did you get tinted or STD glass?

Looking at this car today makes me excited. I have left the front clip off and carpet and seats until I am done doing messy and scratchy things. I hope to get the windows set soon then I can start fitting fenders and it will start looking more complete.

Man thats a BEAUTY!.........Man how far you have come, great work!

That yellow and black is really a sharp color combo imo. If you haven't posted it up before, what are your tire and wheel sizes?

The wheels that are on it now were on the car when I bought it. They have been on the car since 1986 and are dry rotted. I cleaned them, up for now, so that they help the car look better until I get the ones I want. I like the looks of these ones. They are P295/50S R15 on the rear and P215/65S R15 on the fronts.
Of course everyone has different ideas of what they like but, I am going to get 17” black wheels that I hope will add to my black and yellow car and look good.
It has been one of the hardest things for me to decide. I have spent a lot of time trying to find and decide what ones I want.

wheels and rims can make a huge difference either way on a car, I think the black would work, with some shinny, I've been looking at rims for a while too, big decision.

Even though I used industrial strength 3m contact adhesive to glue the bottom of the sail panel headliner down I felt like it kept relaxing and showing some wrinkles so I folded up a couple sheet metal brackets and screwed them down over the excess headliner on the package tray. They will be hid by the jute padding. No new wrinkles have returned. I think it did the job.

good idea, mine kept slipping also, ended up gluing it a little towards the front of the car then using the package tray to stretch it, kind of wedging it in. hoping it holds. looking good.

I ordered my trunk divider board and insulation from Detroit Muscle Technologies and the messaged me asking if I would like them to glue them together for, me no charge. I thought that was a nice bonus. They did a good job and was nice just slip it right in.

I have been spending quite a bit of time trying to get all of the interior trim to fit and look nice. Everything almost fits. Everything requires extra time and still doesn’t fit like I think the original factory parts did. Most of the things will probably not be noticed by most people but they still are noticed by me.
I also spent some time today preparing the front and window areas so that I can get my glass set soon.

So silly question how did you know the insulation goes to the trunk side? or can it only go one way?

I was asking myself that same question. My thoughts were that the trunk ares makes more echo sounds and I wanted the sound absorbing side catching as much sound, before it came into the cab area, as it could. I have also seen it installed this way. It also looked better to me this direction. Bottom line, I'm not sure if I did it right or not.

I got a big step done on my car yesterday. Billy D’s Auto glass came to install my windows. They are the only ones, in my area, that will personally come and install glass on a vintage vehicle. This is the first time that I have seen a front window on my car since I got it 12 years ago.
