2019 9th Annual FABO NHRA "Pick 'Em" Game - Are You Ready For Some NITRO?!!

I'll take Steve Torrence in TF since Salinas left me hanging.

Congratulations to 'Moms Duster' (FABO) for winning the Top Qualifier title for the Menards NHRA Heartland Nationals presented by Minties with a very nice total of 28.5 bonus points. He picked the #1 qualifier in Funny Car, the #2 qualifier in both Pro Mod and Factory Stock Showdown, and the #6 qualifier in Top Fuel. Way to go!
'Duster79' (FABO) took runner-up qualifying spot with 27.0 bonus points.
'Budnicks' was the top FBBO qualifier with 21.5 bonus points.
More great picks!

We had 17 players this week and 17 different driver combos made up of:
* 5 different Top Fuel drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #6 qualifier Clay Millican (2 picks) and #9 qualifier Brittany Force (1 pick). There is also a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in Round 2.
* 7 different Funny Car drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups, but a possibility of 3 Round 2 head-to-head matchups.

* 5 different Pro Mod drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #8 qualifier Mike Janis (4 picks) and #9 qualifier Erica Enders-Stevens. (1 pick). There is a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in Round 2.
* 5 different Factory Stock Showdown drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchups between #8 qualifier Leah Pritchett (2 picks) and #9 qualifier David Barton (1 pick). There are not any possibile head-to-head matchups in Round 2.

Unfortunately, 2 players neglected to make picks in Pro Mod and 5 players neglected to make picks in Factory Stock Showdown despite posts that were made in both FABO and FBBO game threads and Personal Conversations that were sent to all involved.

Here are the results and point standings following completion of the 10th NHRA event of the 2019 season, the Menards NHRA Heartland Nationals presented by Minties.
Congratulations to 'Back in Time' (FABO) for winning the "Top Picker Eliminator" title with an outstanding total of 159.5 points. He was helped with both ET and Speed bonus points in both Funny Car. 'Back in Time' picked the class winners in both Top Fuel and Funny Car. Both his Pro Mod and Factory Stock Showdown picks went to the semi-finals before losing.
'cuda20' (FABO) was the event runner-up with 159.0 points.

More great picks!

We had 17 players this week and 13 different driver combos made up of:
* 6 different Top Fuel drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in Round 2.
* 7 different Funny Car drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #8 qualifier Tommy Johnson Jr. (3 picks) and #9 qualifier Matt Hagan (2 picks). There is also a possibility of 2 Round 2 head-to-head matchups.

* 4 different Pro Mod drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. The earliest head-to-head matchup possibility would be the semi-final round of eliminations because two of the Pro Mod driver picks failed to qualify for eliminations.

Thank Budnicks...

I WAS GOING TO PICK BOB TASCA, LAST MINUTE I CANCELLED!
You would have been the only one here...
He's really come around since the JFR crew swap,
running really well...

I was thinking about going with Robert Hight or John this time
But, I went with my feeling (usually treats me well :poke: )
that Ron Capps was gonna' do well, especially on a hot track
like DSR Crew Chief Ron Tobler & Capps normally do... Oh well

Damn, ol' John Force almost got his 150th,
it's tough one for him, since July MoPar Mile High last year

Quality win for Bob Taska III & fer 'Ferd'
