...the Wilwood kit uses stock DRUM spindles, and the ones I took off years ago to install the Right Stuff disc brake conversion are long gone.
Looks like no new drum spindles are available, and I hate the idea of buying used spindles for a very high end disc brake.
Any ideas?
I still have to contact Wilwood and Right Stuff to see if their parts may be compatible.

You cannot rewrite what fits, go buy some drum spindles and move forward.

The right (wrong) stuff needs different (specific) spindles.
Wilwoods fit stock drum spindles.

These are different spindles, no matter how bad it hurts you.

The setup I'm going for is "over the top".
12.88 6 piston calipers in the front, 12.19 6 piston calipers w/drum parking brake in the rear.
If I do have to buy drum spindles, I want them as close to new as possible.
texas69bee thanks for the offer. Let me do some research and I'll get back to you.

As long as the bearing race area is clean and they arent bent, used ones should be fine. Once those big brakes are on you dont see the spindles.

A spindle can also easily be sand blasted and painted to look new as well if thats an issue.

Got to ask. What was it about the Right stuff brakes you didn't like?

Plastic master cylinder leaks fluid through the plastic caps. Dr Diff sent replacement thicker caps, still leak. Leak is likely from turbulence in master cylinder due to air in lines. I've had the lines bleed 2 or 3 times, but the problem always returns.
I could kick myself for not keeping my drum spindles when I did the swap. :BangHead:
That was the very first thing I did to my Roadrunner, swap the drum fronts for slotted, drilled disc brakes.
I'm sure the problem could be solved, and I am going to sell the whole front disc brake system from Dr Diff/ Right Stuff.
This is a unique opportunity for me to get a HUGE discount on the Wilwood brakes because of the vendor making an error on an unrelated purchase that is going to cost me a lot to resolve.
I spoke with Wilwood this morning, and the factory drum brake spindles are what I am going to have to use.
I find it perplexing that Right Stuff makes spindles to go with their appx $700 kit, but Wilwood doesn't in their $1,100 kit.
:screwy:

Thanks to EVERYONE who was involved in this thread!
i have the spindles from my coronet 68, pay for shipping only, yours if you want them .
That is a blessing!
Any spindles I get have to have clean races and not be bent. I'm not the "guy with a room full of money" but my Roadrunner is an investment that I get to enjoy, and I make it like I want it, because I don't plan on selling it. Once I'm taking my dirt nap, it can be sold, although I hope I'm in a position to will it to a friend or charity.

Wilwood, I hope you are listening. I suggest you get a book on logical thinking and read it a few times, and then give your mopar brake kits a few thoughts. The newest spindles your kits fit were made in 1972, and you can't buy new ones. If you use the later spindles, the oldest ones were made in 1973, and you can buy new ones. Your brake kits use an aluminum hub that you make. Bore them out already , so they fit the later spindles. Cheerio!

@biomedtechguy , if R/T Boy 67 is right, maybe with a comparison between the drum spindle and disc spindle, a machinist can open up the hub from wilwood to work on thespindle you have. The determining factor will be: how much 'meat" is available on wilwoods hub.

Given that these are brakes we are discussing, I am going to play it by the book. Wilwood calls for factory drum spindles, so that's what I will use.
Thanks for the suggestion though.

Just an idea,

Why not get a Wilwood kit designed for the spindles already on your car? Unless there's something I'm missing, it should work, right?

A forum member gave me a pair of spindles and another gave me the spindle nuts, so I'm good to go.
Now I just need to get the $$ together for the brakes!

Wilwood makes a kit to replace stock ‘73 Coronet disc brakes - I bought the spindles that works with that kit from Classic Industries for my 1965 Coronet. Those spindles use the larger inner wheel bearings that the later B-Bodies use. I got the Wilwood kit from Summit. No modifications to make this combo work
