not mine 68 charger

$50k, doesn't run, doesn't have an engine,
org. engine 383 & trans is long gone,
has a gen 3 on a crate (not a crate engine) that can be sold $15k
a go wing on the back, no windshield blah blah blah

I know 68-70 Chargers bring good money
BUT;
my thoughts, he's a Dream Weaver

NO IT IS NOT REALLY $50,000! Looking to sell this 1968 Dodge Charger 500 Project car. This is a Factory 383 car that was in Fairly good shape. A Father and Son Project was started with the best intentions. New parts too numerous to mention. A 6.4L SRT8 HEMI with 7,000 miles on a pallet with everything front to back. New Hotchkis Suspension installed. Brand new one piece floor pan already done. You are way ahead of the game with this car. The 383 is gone so can be bought with the Hemi Package or No motor. The Motor must be sold first if not interested in the Package! Pallet with Engine,Trans and All else sells for $15,000 by itself... Looking for a realistic offer after you look at what is here..Dont throw out some LOW BALL OFFER! Come and look... Call Jim 864-228-2900

yeah I read that too

whole deal for $15k maybe

but it's listed for $50k
says the SRT Hemi 6.4 ltr 7k mile engine combo is worth $15k
to paraphrase;
"has to sell it (engine) 1st, if not a full package deal"

I see $35k is what he thinks it's (the car's) worth

he also says wants a "reasonable offer"
that ain't nowhere near $35k, IMO
let alone what he listed it at $50k

now if it was done & not cheesy **** :poke:

I know they bring big money now, but that's dumb money
wonder what all else is wrong & missing not listed

"Don't try to lowball me, I know what I got" :)

That's only about 2 hours away . . . maybe I need to go and take a look at it . . .

That is risky asking $50k in his title. Just like Buds first reply, it proves that you're turned away before even reading the rest.

can you guys educate me on when they changed the engine codes?
cause i thought G in the vin meant a 318?
and if so,then that doesnt even have R/T suspension...its just a plain jane car yes?

I believe '70 was the year for the VIN change. The 340-6 and the 360 was added, along with the 440-6. In 68-69 - 383 2 bbl is "G", 383 4bbl is "H", and 318 is "F".

As far as the Charger goes, hard to make out the under hood pics, but some GM guy picked the color. Have to check the rear window track for rust, and the usual B body issues. The seller does say to come see it. he probably figured out how expensive a B body is. :D

In 68, G is a 383 2bbl.

Just giving you a hard time. LOL

First, never made a 68 500. It deserves to be saved from the SRT conversion. Put a nice injected 383 or 440 back in it.
