My first go at zinc electroplating. I’m in process of rebuilding my Steering Column. The shift shaft was in bad shape. Almost as good as new now. Too bad the metal was pitted from rust, otherwise, came out great.

:welcome: aboard Matty. How about checking in at the Welcome wagon to intro yourself to the members. What process did you use on your zinc plate ? lt looks nice.

Yeah, looks great! We would all like to know how to do that! Welcome!

Nice job. Can you make a thread about the process and supplies you purchased?

I’ve used the kit from Eastwood with pretty good results. The kit isn’t real cheap, but it does plate quite a few fasteners and small parts. I gotten a lot of use from it.
