What I'm I missing to attach this quarter window trim

Something like this. This is not exactly what you need but something to help make sense. They slip over the holes in the panel then you screw the trim to them. I believe they are called captive nuts.

They are called “j” clips and RT specialties carries reproductions...not exactly like the originals but work
 
^^^ That one looks offset. Do you need one more like the first pic that is hole on hole?.
