Imagine that...pictures of cars.....

Great pics!....man the bronze X and that Merc!!!!!!

Only one 68 pic Of your car? Looks great!
I am really loving that Duster, Right up your alley Justin.
And don't tell anyone, but I have always had a soft spot for 69-71 Monte Carlos like the red one in the picture. My Step-Father had a 71 454 SS. Sweet car.

Nice pics, before the Midwest rains came rolling in.

Lets see... i want the bel wagon, and the divco, and i really want the De Soto and the Nash wagon!
Did that little Nash wagon have a v8 swapped in?

Cool cars... Nice pictures too...

Looks like a great show. THx for the peek inside. Is that a Boss 429 in the 2nd pic? Only car that ever beat me in a street race in Mpls back in the day.

Thanks for the pics. Some great looking cars at the show. Loved the milk truck.

Thanks Guys. I was really impressed to see the wagons & knew you'd guys would like to see them as well.

I don't remember if the Mustang was a 429. Pretty sure the Nash was stock.

I kept out of the sun as much as I could as I forgot the sunscreen.

Almost positive thats not a Boss 429. 69 mustang mach one could be had with a 351windsor, 390, or 428 cobra jet. Boss 429s were never marked as a mach one.

Couldn’t read the side markings. If it said Mach One I agree. Just looked a bit like the awesome Boss...

@GetX'd , my all time favorite pass on the dragstrip, many,MANY years ago, was against a Boss 429 mustang. It was at the old irwindale strip in socal, i was driving a 57 belair hdtp, 350/4sp at the time, running 13 ohs and teens, desperately wanting a 12 second slip. I had run 13.o? twice, so i finally gave in and pulled the mufflers (i really dont like racing uncorked).
Last pass of the night, in the other lane was an Earl Wade prepped (proudly decaled as such) boss 9.
I dont know what our lights were, there were no reaction timers then, but i waxed him off the line.
Still ahead, pulling into fourth, he's pulling up on me fast, but i got to the line just before he blows past.
Time slip says.... 12.96/ 107.
Hundreds of passes since, a few races won, but that was my favorite memory. (Still got the 57)

That must be some 57 you have! Allow me to give you my short story. I was trolling down Central Ave in Mpls back in the day. Central was the local street drag line. It was on a Sunday night and not much going on. Then this dark cherry Boss 429 idles up next to me at the light. Windows were tinted so I couldn’t really make out the driver. We start to roll away from the light up to about 10 mph then we both jacked it at the same time. He was pulling me by about a fender from the get go. We just stay glued that way until the next light where he pulled off to a right turn. I noticed he was running street slicks whereas I had polyglas L60s. I spun a bit giving him the edge that I couldn’t recover from thus the fender beat down. Always wanted another chance at that car but I never saw it again. My 68. GTX had a mild cam and a six pack set up on an otherwise pretty stock 440 at the time. She’s now got the same engine but stroked to a 494 with 555 hp. Same six pack set up and a lot more go. Never forgot that damn Boss and always admire them when I see one because of the dark Sunday night. Great memories. I just sold the GTX last week after 48 years of ownership. Still own the memories though......

Awesome story @GetX'd. I have several friends who bleed ford blue. Mitch restored a boss nine a few years back, but then sold it. He would have been astounded at what a good Boss nine brings now.
Mitch was my 9" guru, he also ran a one-man differential shop. Passed away a year or so ago from pancreatic cancer .
Edit: he also did a torino talladega, the ford version of a daytona, with a cobra-jet.
Edit 2: sorry to hear about your GTX going bye bye, but i sure understand things happen, sometimes hard decisions need to be made. I definately need to start thinking about getting rid of some of my "never to be completed" projects.
