Bought this car near Chicago six weeks ago and trailered it home to Northeast Tennessee. It is beautiful but had some driveabilty issues, including a heater that stayed hot, a charging system that wouldnt charge, a vacuum leak making it idle rough and a cooling system that didnt cool. I put a heater shutoff valve in it, a new voltage regulator, some lockwashers on the intake manifold bolts, and built a fiberglass fan shroud. It is now a sweet little big block cruiser. Here she is at the largest cruise in in NE Tennessee in the pretty little town of Elizabethton.

Congratulations on your 64 Polara. I have a 63 Polara 440 in your neighboring state of North Carolina.

Very nice!!! Love the color!!

Sweet Polara - just curious what does it have for motor and trans?

Congrats on one sweet early B body!

Also, thank you for posting a picture that!

LOVE that car of yours, MW.
I'm in Elizabethton often for work and I know of the cruise-ins down that a way.
I used to know a couple folks in that town that are Mopar nuts, too - heck, one of 'em
had a T/A Challenger in his basement!
Another one is off the 4 lane on the way to Roan Mountain; some of his parts are on the
GTX now, in fact.
I've lost contact with both of them, though.

It would be about an hour and a half to bring the GTX down for one of those shows; it's
something on the bucket list once the car (and me) are up for it for sure.

nice looking Polara, congrats
