Have the inboard leafsprings installed, with caltracks. I need to weld the round stock that keeps pressure on the leafsprings because it was too wide where the clips hold it in. Have not adjusted the pinion angle because my motor and transmission are out. I also moved the radiator and fans about 3 inches forward toward the front bumper for more room.

Belvedere, I haven't been very successful in posting more than one pic at a time on this forum. I just don't know what I'm doing I guess.

Hey no worries, was just wondering. I have a very soft spot for a 67 Satellite as I had one "back in the day", 383 4spd car, loved it and completely destroyed it... misspent youth and all.

That's because you're using spring boxes instead of the original hangers. If you knew that when you ordered your Caltracs and had told them they would have supplied those with the round stock already welded. But no big deal, I had to do that too !

I've had my caltracs for about 3 years now and they work great

29.5 x10.5 tire. My old tire was a 26x9. Still considered a small tire but this 29 dwarfs my 26s. Not enough room in front of the tire, but there is about 4 inches of more room for back spacing.

Found a pic of my radiator mod.

Before I mounted my spring boxes I drilled another set of holes 1" towards the rear to address this tall tire issue. I think a driveshaft slip yoke can handle a 1" difference should the need arise.

Oh, that's a great idea! Thanks

You take the spring apart - in my case Caltrac mono leafs - and you move the locator pin.

Here's my car with 29/10.5w tire sitting on 10 rims with 4.5 bs
