Graveyard Carz Show Host

I LOVE the 120 degree tunnel ram side draft carbs.

I like the show, I like Mark. He is like Donald Trump in that he knows how to push peoples buttons. Those that think he is arrogant are NOT paying close enough attention. He has creative control of the show so if he wanted, he could edit out every flaw or mistake like other shows do. He leaves them in place because he is not afraid to look silly or "human".
He dances and I laugh. He looks at the camera with a smirk and I laugh. I understand the man and his show because I am very much like him. Those that do not appreciate his antics are the same types of people that I have dealt with my entire life. I make jokes to random strangers and maybe 1 in 10 "get the joke". I play pranks on co-workers, family and friends and most respond with blank stares. Most people seem to be programmed to avoid attention getting behavior that guys like Mark and I engage in. I think that the world would be a very boring place without guys like him.

I think you’re funny Kern:thumbsup:

Yeah, he's a real funny guy, unless it happens to be your 69 Daytona that the drags across the floor on a floor jack, the jack slips off the k frame, and takes out your front valence pan and nosecone! Had me in stiches,NOT! He would have been in stiches if that was my car!

With 1" of ground clearance, there's a car that will never get driven.
Yep, he (Ian) even said he built it 'to show only'
true trailer queen, not the slightest bit practical
even by his own accounts, it's a 'what if' car,
all about a certain look (not my style per say, either)
but; (Ian)
he has some serious talent, especially for the tools he has
& shop he has, basic stuff, lots of hand tool, old school
like most common car guys, in their garages

When Ian built the hot rod for his buddy he made some mods to his car. Basicly a panhard rod for the front suspension. He does drive the car. Here he’s at Gene Winfield’s

Honestly, I appreciate this show, it introduced me to the mopars, I took a lot of ideas from the program, the books, the parts producers, and how many things have to be assembled and painted, compared to many other shows, it is much more technical ... mark, maybe he is strong for the knowledge, and not for his way of thinking, you can't have everything in life ... there were many more shows on the mopars, unfortunately this is the only one ...

i quit watching when dave left. the only parts on the show i like are the assembly sections
I liked Dave Rea a lot. He would take the time to explain, and show you how things go together with tips to make it easier. Worman probably fired Dave because he might be a little more knowledgeable about mopars.

There are shows that feature more work and less drama.

Wheeler Dealers

Full Custom Garage

Even Garage Squad
Full custom garage is pretty good. I like how that guy fabricates anything, kind of like Macgyver. A few wing nuts, and some bolts....helicopter that flies.

Wondering if its just me or if others feel similarly about Mark W. the host/owner of this show/shop. I personally don’t care for his attitude and antics. I would like to see more work and sharing of knowledge than the BS Motor Trend is dishing up. Don’t get me wrong having fun is a natural part of this hobby and having a sense of humor is important. If anyone is familiar with Chris Birdsong (Junkerup) he would be so much better. He is real unlike Mark who’s humor looks forced and contrite. Seems like Motor Trend could do a lot better I MHO.
I used to think the same thing. Really didn't like all his B.S. antics and especially how he puts people down. Now I have gotten used to it and kind of think he's funny...……..as long as he's not putting people down, I really hate people who do that...…..especially when he starts making fun of people's weight.

Meh! It's kinda like watching any TV show. I use the mute button or look at my phone when a commercial comes on.

I agree, Dave was a cool guy, meticulous with detail.
I'm thinking Dave was more gypsy than anything... probably hung around long enough to finish that little A body he was working on then ADIOS MF....
I couldn't work for a turd like Mark, I gotta have some reasonable respect or the knuckle sandwiches come out...

Worman wrote a column for Mopar Muscle for a while and then the magazine quit coming out. Coincidence?

Mark was not responsible for the downfall of that magazine. Several factors were in play. The internet and the need for instant gratification has affected all print media. Magazines cannot keep up with how fast the internet responds and reports events and actions. Mopar Muscle used to be better. They replaced a good Editor with a corporate guy and when that didn't work, they replaced the corporate guy. The inclusion of the monthly Graveyard Carz segments were like adding passengers just after Titanic hit the iceberg. The ship was doomed no matter what.
Their tech was mediocre after Steve Dulcich left.
Their event coverage was weak.
Regarding their tech articles....They were obviously more concerned with throwing all new parts at a car rather than doing anything low dollar. They had no ongoing project cars that I can recall. These can entice readers to subscribe in the interest of following the build as it progresses.
The magazine shrunk from over 110 pages to under 90 with the same if not more ads.
Mark is a silly guy. He jokes like a high school football player does. It is how a lot of guys got along...teasing, insulting and trying to out-insult the other guys.

I liked the letter addressed to "Mark Woman".

Possibly the funniest bit ever on the show.

Can't stand and will not watch GYC, just received my last copy of MCG; don't get any of the magazines anymore and am tossing all of the past copies as I will never look at them.
