The first Cop on the scene had a pretty good idea of what happened. Now, they can’t find the driver of the Dodge pickup. If it is found that the truck crossed the double yellow they need to find his cell phone. Then lock up and throw away the key. Senseless loss of lives.

Saw it on the news - sooo tragic. Such a waste of human life... pray for the families left behind
 
A guy that I used to work with, and my wife did work with was one of the people who were killed in this accident. We have known Dan for 30 years. He was a good Father and Husband, and a Marine. And a good friend and coworker and will be surely missed. RiP Dan and all lost in this senseless tragedy.

One of the reasons I don't ride any more, too much distraction behind the wheel today. I actually drive my vehicles like I used to ride my bike, head on a swivel and anticipate the next idiots move before it gets ugly...

My condolences to the families.
I have seen bikers here in New Jersey pass multiple cars in no passing zones, speed through bumper to bumper traffic between the cars on the NJ Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway. Are they in that much of a hurry or are they just plain stupid??
 
From what I've been hearing on Boston radio today, it sounds like this kid has a bit of a rap sheet.
 
RIP for those wonderful folks just enjoying life.

After reading the latest this afternoon on the asswipe that killed the cyclists:
1. he should be handed over to the families of the deceased cyclists for 30 minutes
2. let him bleed out.

Sorry for the very angry and crude comment, but this scumbag had no respect for life, therefore he deserves not to have one either.

Just read the story - what a senseless horrible tragedy. Unfortunately this Russian dirtbag will only get life in prison - he really deserves the DP
 
This kid gets arrested in May for suspicion of drunk driving,and was convicted of DUI in 2013,and this company hires him to drive a truck for them? The company owner said this was only the guys second trip since hiring him! There is no way they checked his driving record. There is more negligence here than just the kid driving. I hope they did a blood test at the time of the crash. They keep giving people who get caught drunk driving a slap on the wrist until they kill someone,or like in this case,everyone!
 
Zhukovskyy also has a lengthy driving record, including a drunken driving conviction in 2013 and an arrest after failing a field sobriety test last month in a Walmart parking lot in East Windsor, Conn. He was due back in court for that case Wednesday.

When asked why Zhukovskyy still had an active Massachusetts driver’s license before the crash, MassDOT spokeswoman Jacquelyn Goddard said in a statement: “The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles is looking into this matter.” His Massachusetts license was only suspended Monday because he was deemed an “immediate threat,” records show, despite his second OUI arrest on May 11.

Massachusetts State Police arrested Zhukovskyy Monday morning on a fugitive from justice charge out of New Hampshire. He was turned over to N.H. law enforcement officials.

State police also confiscated “wax packets containing a residue suspected of being heroin,” when they arrested Zhukovskyy Monday. State police said additional charges may be filed if they test positive for heroin.
