If you buy my regulator I can throw in the hood release rod free.
It's been fixed (with a piece of all thread of all things), but it's the right length and not super noticeable.
BTW I think the lower release bracket could be fabricated by putting some right angle bends in a piece of thick sheet metal- I'd suggest an electrical box cover- they're cheap and easy to find and many are galvanized. This could likely be done with a bench vice.
