I have a set of date coded plug wires for my 70RR and since beginning my build have changed over to electronic ignition. Has anyone used standard wires on an electronic set up. I don’t see a problem other than radio noise. Has anyone done this??

I ran Accel copper core wires on my 74 power wagon for years and had intermittent problems getting a consistent spark. Switched to resistor wires and boy what a difference it made. Hot starts were no problem anymore, got better throttle response and the mpg. went up a touch plus the idle quality was better.. Has something to do with RF interference in the electronics I guess.

all "standard" wires (OEM 7mm type) will do is add resistance into the system. they'll work.

Don't think you will have a problem if what you have are good wires. If you have to buy, buy firecore. Best wire out there for the street in my opinion
