Hi, I'm wondering if someone may be able to help me with a question. I'm restoring a 67gtx. I'm using a hood off 67 belv I. I don't have the original hood... Does anyone know what or where I could get dimensions of where exactly to drill holes for factory scoops?? Thank You for your help.

Mate I used this photo I found on the internet and eyed mine in - very dodgy I know but surprisingly accurate. If it was concours then I'd want dimensions, but the average guy isn't walking around with a tape measure. Just make sure you have them on the right sides...and hope the photo is of an original hood!

Thank you! I wasn't sure if there was someone that might have done it with dimensions out there... you have a good idea. Thank you

No worries. As a starting point, mine are about 70mm (2&3/4") from the back of the hood, and 70mm from the side of the hood (from the midpoint of the scoop). Cheers

IIRC, the stripes, and therefore the scoops- line up with the front turn signal lights.

I can map the dimensions on where the edges of the scoops sit from the edges of the hood on my car. From that it would probably be best to make a stiff paper template of the scoop footprint from your hood scoops with holes punched where the studs are and then lay that on your hood as a template to mark the hole locations. Quite a job to map the holes as the insulation has to come off, etc.

Maybe this will help. If not maybe someone with their hood apart will come along.

The holes are a bit oversize from memory so that probably accounts for some of the difference from side to side.

Thank you AR67GTX,,,, that will help. Have a great day! I took a pic of original hood when I removed from car. I thought that would be enough for future reference... I never measured the holes (not good). I got rid of the original....maybe with dimensions of hood and picture I got, someone who knows a CAD program??? I'm not asking anyone to do that here I know that is costly... what you sent will be a help. Thanks

Most studs generally go either on an extended "flat" with metal on both the inner and outer structure, or dead center of an underside rib.

YY1... Thanks, I'll look at the underside again. I remember the original hood was in the ribs on some of the cuts. Thanks... this is my first time with gtx and I'm needing some of you experienced guys on some of this stuff. Have a good day.

I can confirm that photo is one of an original hood.

don your mailbox is full. I can trace the exact hole pattern for you.

If you didn't get the measurements you needed I can get them off my car for you. I currently don't have the hood scoops on because I am repairing them.

donbmopar have you gotten the information you were looking for yet ?
