PICS! $350 Custom manual transmission console for BENCH seat shifter, bench replaced by bucket seats

I’m not a retro mod guy - but for those that are and for the car st the top of this thread I think that console will look very nice. Can’t wait to see pics of it installed. Nice workmanship!

So I got the word today...
My console is being shipped out!:bananadance:
Blue Thunder is going to sell these consoles for...
$350!
:thankyou:

So once they put them on their website https://bluethunderautomotive.com/product/mopar-b-body-console/
you can choose from their colors and get your own, for less than just the cost of the Z shaped shift lever, which is not needed with this console, or for $100 more than just the plastic shell of a factory console! This console works with the original bench seat shift lever only!

:usflag:

That’s great! Curious (and none of my biz) do you get a cut of what they sell? I’d buy one if I had a need for it - congrats!

They were considerate of the time and effort by me to work with the prototype to create a marketable product, but likewise I am appreciative of them responding to my needs. I got a small discount on my console and free shipping, and I didn't know that was the case until they told me what they were going to sell them for.
I really don't feel like I did all that much, other than help a company tweak an existing product into one I (and others like me) can use.
As cool as the whole scenario is, how many people are going to:
Change out their B-body seats from bench to buckets
And
Want a "custom" factory reminiscent console
And
Have a standard transmission with the straight bench seat lever
And
Not want to buy the console style shift lever
???
I believe it will be enough people to have made the effort on their part worthwhile, but I don't think they are going to need to expand production facilities across the country to keep up with demand:D

The website for that company is actually https://bluethunderautomotive.com/ and they have some nice looking stuff for sure!
Slow assed website, but other than that, very nice looking and BTG's console is already shown on there I think. :)

EDITED: Corrected website address.

I’m going to order one of these but there are several shades of white. What shade did you get and how well does it match?
I got the 57T White (237). They will send you free sample swatches to match up against your seats. I ordered 3 different whites and the console was a perfect match based on that.

That was beneficial not only for color choices but material as well. It's hard to discern the grain and texture from the pix.

Pictures of the console installed.
I wouldn't change ANYTHING!
I really like the black carbon fiber sides and how that transitions to the black carpet. You may have to zoom in to see the black carbon fiber texture.

CONSOLE IS IN!!:bananadance::bananaweed:
I will post pix as soon as I get it installed and take some pix...
I'm STOKED!!:drinks:

I've had a few people see it in person now, and they all like it.
I am going to secure the shift boot and trim ring this weekend. I think I am going to go through the console into the sheet metal of the transmission tunnel to anchor the console at that point.
If anyone knows where I can find longer than stock round-headed stainless screws like the factory ones, let me know. They probably have to be 4 or 5 inches long.
Look at the top of the screws. They are not flat.
