Dave Walden ECS has passed on.

While I did have an online beef with him about the story of his 4-door Cuda, I always said that his restoration work was second to no none. RIP

I agree,I was with him up until the 4 door Barracuda. He was a talented guy RIP Dave you will be missed in the hobby!

Polite thing to say I guess is;

Rest In Peace, gods speed

I saw the 4 door ‘Cuda in Vegas. IIRC, there was a multiple page thread here about it. When I commented that it was the best built, highest quality, amazing panel fit and paint yet ugliest creation ever seen, he was kind and reserved when replying. I knew as soon as I saw it why it did not go into production. Rest In Peace car guy.

Rest In Peace!

I remember he made friends with Bladecutter. A lot of his postings on here i recall were a lot of confrontation with members he had about his car, then he left the site.
Only 2 years ago. Awful thing. Rest easy my friend.

Dennis, you summed it up perfectly, that roof line from the 71 4 door B body didn't jibe with the E body Plymouth roof line,no matter how one of the best Mopar restoration guys tried to make it work.

RIP

I didn't know the man but I knew his work and it spoke to his passion for perfection, his restorations were incredible. My sympathies to his family and friends, if they need the Pearly Gates restored in heaven Saint Peter has got the best man for the job.

Wow, i'm in shock. I had no idea. Dave & i had many great conversations by phone but fell out of touch just after 4 door 'Cuda debuted @ Las Vegas SEMA show. I had no clue He ended up with this cancer ****.
His/ECS crew builds were phenomenal efforts.
I think the 4 door 'Cuda was scintillating.
R.I.P. Dave Walden, many condolences to His Family & Friends.

Sorry to hear. He did some incredible things for the hobby and hopefully those left behind will continue with his legacy. Cancer sucks for sure. I just lost a friend of mine to Brain Cancer who was only 45 last Friday. Fought it for about 5 years until the "new" cancer came back that responded to nothing....

Dave finally mended fences with me. We talked briefly as humans many months ago. I said what I had to say. He appreciated it. That's it. I won't say anymore out of respect for his passing.

Shocked by the news,we only ever conversed via pm's,he was very skilled.
Requiescat in pacem

Thanks Ski. In the end, when both parties agree to disagree everybody wins.
