I am going to put the dust trail stripe on my 1970 roadrunner but i dont now the messurement for it. I have an old manual there is some messurements that goes from zero inch line but what is the zero inch line?

i know on the front fender area its barely above the wheel well looks like about 1/4 inch above approx..and remember the stripes have to go on the right sides ...or the dust in backwards.. good luck

Just make sure the "X's" of the dust trail are on the bottom

Also watch out in the quarter panel area....the stripe should line up with "road" & "runner" and is spaced up towards the top of the quarter panel scoop a little bit. I've seen it "centered" in the quarter scoop & that causes the dust trail to be angled up so as to clear the front wheel well.

Do not follow Mark Wormans instructions for installation of the dust trail stripes. He doesn't center them in the scoop opening. He installed them about an inch too high on the yellow Road Runner he put them on, on the show. They looked rediculous! They should just show a small strip of body color, approximately a quarter inch above the front wheel well opening, and carry back straight to the scoop opening.

Anyway we can get a better scan of the blueprint showing the location of the stripes on the 1970 Road Runner? The scan is too small in the post above to be read. What magazine and issue was that article in? TIA

Stripes don't get centered in the scoop opening, they align with the road runner script which is higher than center.
