This has been bugging me for a while, all searching on the inter webs has been fruitless. Does anyone know what this tag means? Looks like it says “engine build date 1 662” ? It’s a paper sticker material kinda like a price sticker. Located on the top of the drivers side valve cover on a 1974 440.

I was thinking it was the 10,000 day calendar date but that doesn't work out.
That’s what I was wondering. I found a 10,000 day calculator and it comes out like 1994. If you change the 1 to a 4 it comes out in May 1974, same month my car was built. Need a Trenton plant expert here, lol.

I am not sure but I thought engines were usually like a month or 2 behind the car build, however who knows. Maybe it is a 4

I should have included the number pad pic from the engine too. I think it means May 3rd for assembly date?
