I drove down Thursday, spent Friday doing the swapmeet and the show and drove back last night. I'm more interested in parts than the cars so one day is enough. And I do it on a scooter so I can get around pretty quick.

The weather was the best they've had in years. Despite rain on Thursday there was very low humidity on Friday and a breeze throughout the day so even though it was hot, it was bearable.

I'm mainly interested in performance parts and '69 RR stuff. This year I noticed quite a few buddy seats for different makes and models whereas in years past they were few and far between. Trunk lids for '69's have always been rare, this year I counted at least 5 and all were in decent shape and priced fairly. Likewise with Dana's. Whereas there are maybe only one or two, this year there were around 5, all priced in the $2000 range.

I got an AWESOME deal on a complete FAST 2.0 EFI system.

You ever notice that what you want can't be found till you find it and 20 more pop up out of the wood work.

how was the turnout in terms of people attending and cars showing up in the corral?
funny you mentioned the scooter,i use a minibike myself lol.

I saw a bunch of stuff priced to sell
and also bunch priced to look at
crowd wasn't bad but was half gone by 2 pm
it was a ghost town in the back
the vendors made a pretty good showing
the buyers not so much

the 2 butterscotch 71 GTX'S for sale in the pavilion were interesting but pricey
I like to notice how they were optioned out
Both had belt moldings
One grabber the other no grabber
saw a triple white 73 charger sell for I think 24k
they were making the deal as I was looking at it..lol
it was a nice original car

and the a12's
a orig paint green road runner survivor that was awesome
and many others to drool over

and I also spoke to this older spitfire women in one of the buildings
her and her husband are the original owners of a gold 69 Daytona
this women was talking about how they got the car
she was pregnant and her husband took her car without her knowing
and traded it in on the Daytona behind her back.
at first she was pissed back then and wanted to leave him
but now she laughs and I really think she enjoys the attention now.
I did see her husband but he was just letting her do all the talking
he couldn't get a word in ..lol
they were very nice people who really enjoy owning their car
and they took very good care of it because it was in mint condition

I bet they are the ones from Ohio and had a Dodge dealership. If so She is a pistol, he doesn't say much.Over the years they had bunches of wing cars. Damn if I can remember their name.

Turnout was pretty good for a Friday - you could move quickly. Thinned our later in the day. Car turnout was great. The whole field and hill was full. A few empty vendor spots BUT there were more vendors around the car corral than in the past so it looks like they have more vendors wanting spots but nobody giving any up. No Mancini again or Indy cylinder head

Today was packed. Got some good deals both yesterday and today. The 71 R/T tail light lense for $4 was my winner!

are all the show cars in the pavilions there on Sunday

Usually all are clearing out around noon but you will find most inside cars moving out by 3. Everybody heading home.

I heard someone from Carlisle events say that they broke the record of just over 2800 show cars this year.

I plan on going in 2020...
50th anniversary of my 1970 Roadrunner!
My best friend and Mopar brother suggested it, I've never been, and life is short.
Another opportunity to celebrate our cars and "hobby".

That doesn't surprise me. The show field was more full than I've ever seen it on a Friday

I got a great deal on a small block Offy dual quad intake, and a lot of good deals on small parts. The weather was a little warm, but overall very good.

Saturday the show field doubled with the amount of cars than what was there Friday. The crowd Saturday was unreal. Very crowded to just walk around. Great show!

My son and I got some great deals on parts for his A-Bodies and his 70 Road Runner, I found of few odds and ends for my 66 Charger. I thought the weather Friday was great by comparison of other years. Prices seemed quite reasonable and both my son and I agreed we would have never been able to find these items down here in Texas, it was worth the 21 hour drive each way for sure.

Been going since the first year in '91 and wouldn't miss it. Very well organized, good food, plenty of room for your tent and car.
