Modern Bullitt build

Pat, I started watching the new fast and loud last night. Didn't finish it. You had everything they need for that car chase they were reproducing.

With the time it takes to install a vinyl roof, it makes you wonder how they did it so fast on a moving assembly line.

Started the restoration on the grill which is in very good condition but as with most Charger grills there are a few cracks that need to be repaired. After cleaning up and painting most of the hardware I started by fixing some of the cracks and broken parts using steel wire to get a mechanical fastener prior to using epoxy with chopped fibers.
Thanks

I love this approach and will be borrowing these ideas now that I have my grille out!

Had a setback on the vinyl top. There was a wrinkle on the driver side seam that I initially thought was from me over or under stretching the top when I glue that side down? But after investigating it a little closer it turned out the top was stitched crooked. I bought this top along with all of the interior components over 4 years ago from Legendary Auto Interior. I sent them pictures and a description of the problem and they quickly came back and said they would send me a new vinyl top. That’s first class customer service in my book! I was taught a long time ago by the guy I work for, don’t judge one by their mistakes but rather by their solutions!
Fortunately the top removed relatively easily and I was able to remove the contact cement by rubbing it with mineral spirits. I get to start over sometime next week when I receive the new top.
Thanks
Pat

That sucks the big one Pat.. but at least they're standing by their product. Doesn't help with your lost time and effort though, but the next one will be perfect!

my headliner from legendary was mis sewn at the rear sail panel loop about 3/4" forward. already had headliner in so i just added a loop and extended it. everyone makes mistakes, very good of them to send you a new one with no further hassle.

I used Matt black vinyl to cover the silver insulation (recommended by others) then started to install the new headliner. This is the fourth car I install the headliner on, and it seems to be getting a little easier ;-)
