Hi everybody. I’ve been lurking here for years. I finally pulled my ‘69 Coronet out of storage and got it back on the road after 10 years of sitting!

It runs pretty well and is a blast to be diving again!

I have ordered a mix of Hotchkis, QA1, and Borgeson parts to replace all of the suspension and steering. Along with US Car Tool pieces for chassis stiffening. I’ve installed late model Mustang brakes using brackets from Invincelable Extremes and a disc/disc power booster. I also replaced the gas tank with a new stainless one.

The motor is a mildly built 383 that only has a couple thousand miles on it. A Holley Sniper EFI kit might happen. It’s backed by a semi-leaky 727 with some old “shift kit”.

The plan this summer is to install the subframe stiffening pieces, then replace all the steering and suspension and finish the disc brakes on the rear. The interior is okay, but it will be freshened up over time.

After that, the transmission needs to be addressed. A manual swap will happen, either Tremec five or six speed.

Where I’m torn, is whether or not to hold off on the EFI and Tremec, and get a low mileage GenIII Hemi and six speed drop out combo...

Anyway, after gaining lots of great info over the years, I figured I’d add to the forum.

The plates are pretty funny and came out of the dmv stack. The lady did smile, though.
