Hello FBBO,

Simple enough of a question (I think lol).

Is the hood trim (front lip) on a 1966 Plymouth B Body the same for a 1967 Plymouth B Body??

Thanks in advance.

Simple answer. No. Got one it has couple of dings driver Q minus.

Thanks! Here's why I asked the question. I was swapping at Carlisle and I had a 1966 Plymouth hood trim piece that I physically removed myself. It was a driver quality at best piece with a dent near the middle so my price was $20.00. Guy comes to my spot and notices my box full of trim pieces and asked if I had '66 Plymouth B Body hood trim. I show him the piece and he compares to a trim piece that he had in his stroller cart and they were different. He claims that he bought from a guy that said it was from a '67 Plymouth and the guy also said that it will fit a '66 Plymouth. With me not being certain he offered me his trim piece + $10.00 for my '66 trim piece. I took him up on his offer only because he was buying many more parts from me. If it was a stand alone deal I probably would've turned him down. I hate getting stuck with parts I don't know their orientation. So I wrote on the trim piece '67 Plymouth B Body for future reference. It has more of a center point to it rather than straight across. Also a bit longer in length. Does this sound correct? Thanks again for your quick response.

Sounds like you are now the proud owner of a 67 coronet hood trim piece. The Coronet trim piece comes to a point in the middle the Plymouth BEL,SAT, GTX is pretty much flat.

Okay thanks for that. So 1967 Coronet hood trim a one year only? Not the same for 1966 Coronet?Charger?

Can't describe a 67 Plymouth piece well, its more elaborate than 66 and wider 1.25" or so and sticks out further .

66 is different than 67 coronet. They are interchangeable but 67 is smoother than the 66. Same general shape and length but slightly different style

But the hoods are the same?
The hoods on the Plymouths are the same as far as I can tell but the lip molding is different. Can't tell you about the Coronet since I've only had 67's....
