Does the A04 code mean this car came equipped with power windows?

this is what I see for 1970 Cuda and Challenger

A04 Basic Group = Power Steering, Left Remote Control Mirror, Music Master Radio (any), 3 Speed Variable Wipers w/ Electric Washer and Deluxe Wheel Cover (expect 15″ tires).

Here is what I have from Galens pocket code book, doesnt mean that the car had all of this obviously as the code covers many models, plus other codes can add/subtract items;

A04 69-71 Basic (Radio) Group
Power brakes, front air foam bench seat, LH outside chrome remote mirror, windshield wipers 3-speed/variable, power windows, music master AM (or any of the following radios) deluxe AM, AM/FM, Am w/stereo 8 track player, search tune AM/FM, AM/FM multiplex STEREO, AM/FM multiplex-stereo w/8 track player), power antenna, power steering, deluxe wheel covers (class I or class III)

That is the exact wording from my White Book. That is why I asked in the first place, as the car has no evidence of power windows.

A04 had different equipment in different applications... Power Windows might be included with A04 in a Chrysler... Not in most C bodies & certainly not a B or E body... Galen's book is a better guide then most but doesn't always tell the whole story....

I've had a few B's and E's with AO4 group and none had power windows. Either Galen is wrong or that pertains to other body lines.

I have no doubt I either didn't read through Galens book correctly or it leaves room for interpretation (which I believe it the case)

got this from the 1970 Hamtramck Registry, you could get power windows in all these cars if you ordered them, but the Belvedere no

What comes with A04 on a Valiant is a LOT different than A04 on an Imperial.

Galen’s list includes all items that could have come in the package across all of the lines. He makes no distinction as to what came with which model.

You have to look at detailed info, like the data books, to see what came with a specific model.
