Put a Borgeson steering box in my 64 Polara with stock TRW power steering pump the car came with. Would not have power steering from pump until it reved to 1500-2000 rpm. Replaced with "new" Saginaw pump. Worked good for a couple of days and now needs to rev to get power steering again. Everythings installed correctly, bled the system still no joy. Ideas? Experiences?

how did it work before the borgeson steering box? could be that's your problem.

The new pump could be a faulty one ? You can install a gauge to check the pressure the pump is putting out. Should be about 1000 psi at full lock.

Let the car sit a couple of days, jacked the front wheels off the ground and turned steering wheel lock to lock about 4 times after starting the engine. Pump works a little better now. I think there's air entrained in the pump oil that may take a few bleeding sessions to clear. Still not working at idle but don't have to rev engine as much to get it to work. Hope it works right after repeating the above steps a few times.

Sounds like you’ve got air still in the lines, pump or box.
